I like the rural landscapes of northern Vermont and go there often to paint. This is a plein air painting of Johnson Vt., a small college town where I lived once. I think the simplified shapes of the Village made a good composition. The painting is a bit of an experiment for me in the use of white setting off the many gray tones.
